Portable Mini Time Code Generator with 2 Line LCD
The PTG is the latest addition to HORITA's line of award winning miniature handheld portables for use in the field. This palm- sized generator is simple to setup and operate and features a large 2-line liquid crystal display (LCD) readout for time code, user bits, and setup information. The PTG is an ideal generator for use with inexpensive camcorders in multi camera situations where it is necessary for each tape to have the same time code for precise time and image matching during post production. These situations may include sporting events, games, concerts, automobile, aircraft, and boating events, parades, weddings, etc.
For these applications the PTGs are jammed (automatically preset) to the same time code source and the user bits of the time code are set to the date and also include a unique ID number for each individual PTG. Each tape recorded in this manner will have the same time and date but a different ID number so they can't get mixed up later. The PTG can also jam to an RS232 serial data input from a GPS receiver for generation of precise time of day and date time code.
Operates synchronized to video or free runes at frame rates of 23.976, 24 (film), 25 (PAL), 29.97 (drop or non-drop frame), or 30 FPS
Time code and user bits can be set manually or jammed to an external time code source or GPS receiver

Portable Mini Time Code Generator with LED Indicator
Palm-sized time code generator operates for over 24 hours from a single 9 volt battery. An inexpensive generator intended for field use in multi-camera situations when its desirable (or necessary) for each tape to have the exact same time code for precise image matching during post production. The PG-2100 can be operated manually or jammed (automatically preset) from any SMPTE time code source. It is an ideal field companion to the HORITA GPS-MTG GPS-based time/date time code generator. This is because all tapes recorded using PG-2100s jammed from a GPS-MTG have identically matching frame-by-frame time of day plus date time code and their own individual ID number. This makes keeping track of tapes and shots a breeze during post.

The award winning PTR reads SMPTE/EBU time code and displays the time code and/ or user bit data on a 2-line LCD display. "Store" and "Recall" functions allow quick and easy capture and review of up to 50 time code events. Stored time code and/ or user bit numbers can be sent as RS232 serial data for input to a computer running the included PTR-LOG program.
